As part of that amendment the majority of our property located on the west side of Eagle Road approximately a half mile south of Amity Road was designated Medium Density Residential on the future land use map (see graphic on next page). The new South Meridian Comprehensive Plan, created by staff, proposes to decrease over half of our existing medium density residential designation to low density residential (see graphic on next page). We strongly oppose this decrease in density and request that the city maintain the density that was granted to our property just one year ago. Several important business decisions have been made based on the densities granted to our property through the approved South East Meridian Comprehensive Plan Map Amendment. Based on these business decisions we have submitted a development application on this property that will be heard at the December 7, 2007 Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. We assert that it would be unwise and unfair to decrease our allowed density after it was just approved one year ago and respectfully request that the existing density be maintained on our property.
