The praperiy was coned G2 (Ada County) and was g a Meridian zoning desigoabwn ~' C-G ups anaexaticm. As part of an annexation application, the City of Meridian could phux s upon fire aeon, and chose m do so in arch m en.Wne the future use and development of the property world be in compliance with the Ctty's development standards. The condirions of approval are found in the Findings of Fad a~ Conclusions of Law (FF/Q.) for File No. AZ-01-010 (approved I 1-20-0i). I gave her a copy of the FF/CL and pointed out the impaovemants that wonkl be rogrrired prior to the use of the property. A few home taint the owns ofthe property called amt stated that he hadbeen unaware of the conditions placed on the property sad wanted 1b know if there was a way m avoid making the regrored improvements on the ptt>party. Afmr talking with the City Attorney, itbetame apparent that the CUP regn could be eliminated, but all of the other requirements placed oalhe annexation of the property would need m be mar prior m oxupancy. The regrmed improveseats will be expe~ive a~ somewhat time camsuming for installation, thereby making it economically unfeasible m develop the property. Upon meeting with Mr. Ogden, I explained the silurati~ and ova discussed the requirements and some possible options fur resolution ofthe problem. The result of the com~ersalion, ~d other conversations, was a request for the issue to be pieced in front of the City Council in a Pre~C.ounrrl meeting, to discuss the aonetrauon,possible de-annexation, or the polemist red»cti~ in the regrrirrm>ems placed >~ the snnamtion and the difierem meWods for allowing development m take place at 1065 E.
