BY THE CITY COUNCIL: BIRD, BORTON, ROUNTREE, ZAREMBA
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MERIDIAN, ESTABLISHING A SEVENTH SEAT ON THE
MERIDIAN ARTS COMMISSION; APPOINTING A YOUTH MEMBER TO
SEAT SEVEN OF THE MERIDIAN ARTS COMMISSION; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Meridian and the Meridian Arts Commission recognizes
and values the unique perspective of the youth of the Meridian community; and
WHEREAS, Meridian City Code § 2-5-3(C) states that a youth member maybe
appointed to the Commission, for a term of up to one year; and
WHEREAS, the bylaws of the Meridian Arts Commission provide that the youth
commissioner's seat shall be designated Seat 7;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN CITY, IDAHO:
Section 1. That Seat 7 shall be created on the Meridian Arts Commission.
Section 2. That Jonathon Stucker shall be appointed to Seat 7 and shall serve a
term to run through August 31, 2008.
Section 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon
its adoption and approval.
