The following will be the requirements and/or concerns to provide minimum levels of fire
protection for the proposed project:
1. The fire hydrants available at the LDS Church on Blackcat Rd. for fire protection
will be acceptable to the Meridian Fire Department.
2. All radii into the project shall be 28' inside and 48' outside radius.
3. The access shall have a 20' wide fire lane available at all times. UFC 902.2.1
4. Roads which are greater than 150' in length will be required to be provided with a
approved turn-around. See attached guidelines for design options.

20' wide, all-weather fire apparatus access' roads must be provided
within 150' of all portions of all structures, sucblhat iSO' .af
fire fighting hose (handline) laid from the apparatus will ~.ll~w a
firefighter to reach the most remote point of the building.
Any deadends in excess of 150' (measured from centerline to
centerline or centerline to radius point) ehall have an
unobstructed turn-around as shown in one of the following drawings,
Ho vehicle parking or other obstructions are allowed within the
dimensions shown. Note that corners must have a minimum inside
radius of 28 I.
