WE WOULD LIKE TO GIVE TESTIMONY AT THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING ON
DECEMBER 18, 2007 REGARDING THE ABOVE APPLICATION. LISTED BELOW IS
A SUMMARY OF OUR COMMENTS.
Madam Mayor and City Council:
We would like to clarify a few points that have been misleading throughout this whole
application for annexation and re-zoning process of the property noted above. Mr. Williams was
not up front at the meeting held at the Dunwoody property dealing with the information given to
the residents who attended. He stated that he was requesting annexation and city services from
the City of Meridian, but made no mention of a request for zone change from RUT to R-2.
At the City of Meridian, Planning and Zoning Meeting held on November 15, 2007, Mr.
Williams led the panel to believe that his neighbor to the north at 5930 Locust Grove was already
annexed to the City of Meridian and that address was within Dunwoody Subdivision. The fact is
that address is not part of Dunwoody Subdivision and even though they have had city services
since 2005, as of this date they are still not annexed to the City of Meridian.
We have no objection to the annexation to the City of Meridian of the property at 1650
Dunwoody Court with the contingency that the City require Mr. Williams to agree not to further
subdivide or put any more homes on this property. This would be in compliance with the CC &
R's of Dunwoody Subdivision which he agreed upon when he purchased the property.
