HomeMy WebLinkAboutTask Order No. 0713 with Civil Survey Consultants, Inc. for Flush LinesTASK ORDER NO. 0713 CITY OF MERIDIAN (OWNER) AND CIVIL SURVEY CONSULTANTS INC. (ENGINEER) This Task Order is issued by Owner and accepted by the Engineer pursuant to the mutual promises, covenants and conditions contained in the Agreement between the above named parties dated November 8, 2006. CITY OF MERIDIAN 2008 WATER SYSTEM FLUSH LINES PURPOSE The Engineer's scope of services, time of completion and compensation shall be as set forth herein. Services shall generally be described as Engineering Consulting Services. TASK 0713 -Design and Construction Per the City's request, the Engineer will provide professional services for design of eight water system flushing stations at seven locations throughout Meridian. The flushing stations are currently proposed to be located as follows: 1. Victory Road at Ten Mile Creek 2. Broadway Avenue and 3`d Street at the Hunter Lateral 3. Meridian Road and Bower Street at Nine Mile Creek 4. Overland Road at the 8-Mile Lateral (Low Zone and High Zone) 5. Red Feather Subdivision No. 7 at the South Slough 6. McMillan Road and Linder Road at the Settlers Canal 7. Mount Hood Avenue at Cloverdale Lateral We propose to provide the following under this scope of services: 1. Contact the Nampa Meridian Irrigation District and the Settlers Irrigation District to establish whether these flushing stations will be allowed under current regulations. 2. If allowed we anticipate that a license agreement will be required from the appropriate Irrigation District for each site. We will prepare any documents required for the license agreement for execution by the City of Meridian and Irrigation District. We will coordinate execution of the agreement. Any license fees will be paid by the City of Meridian. 3. If allowed we anticipate that a Joint Application For Permit will be required to be submitted by the Corps of Engineers and Idaho Department of Water Resources. We will prepare the necessary permit application and submit it on behalf of the City of Meridian. All permit fees will be paid for by the City of Meridian. 4. As part of the permitting process we will perform a field survey as necessary and prepare complete plans and specifications for construction of the flushing stations. 5. The construction plans and specifications will be submitted to each of the previously mentioned agencies, as well as the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality, and the Ada County Highway District for their review and approval. 6. We will obtain a title report confirming the owner of each parcel where a flushing station is proposed. We will send each owner a copy of the construction plans and an easement form granting permission to locate the flushing station on their property. We will coordinate the execution of the easement form by the property owner. Any fees associated with granting the easements shall be paid by the City of Meridian. 7. It appears that flushing station #2 will be located on Union Pacific Railroad property. We will prepare the necessary permit application and submit it on behalf of the City of Meridian. All permit fees will be paid for by the City of Meridian. 8. Once approved by each agency, and any easements obtained, we will assist the City of Meridian in advertising the project for bids, be available to answer questions during the pre bid period, attend the bid opening, and assist in the award of the contract. 9. We will be available to answer questions during construction and prepare record drawings off of red-lined plans to be provided to us by the City of Meridian. 10. All construction contracting, administration and inspection will be provided by the City of Meridian. TIME OF COMPLETION Engineering services will be completed as needed. COMPENSATION The Not-To-Exceed amount for this Task Order No. 0713 is Thirty Seven Thousand Six Hundred Sixty-five dollars ($37,665.00). The hourly rate for services and direct expenses is per the previously approved Prevailing Fee Schedule Effective October 1, 2006, and by this reference made a part hereof. .` CITY OF MERIDIAN BY.
