We will try to be to the meeting on the first of November. We will not be able to make the City Council meeting. As I stated in our last meeting, I am interested in where the roads will go. Especially the east-west roads from the 10 Mile Interchange. It would appear to me that property that is within a quarter of a mile on the east-west roads should be considered as zoning for comericial. Like the development at Meridian Rd. and Overland that development will continue to develop. It would appear to me that houses within a quarter of a mile from a 4 to 5 lane major road would be undesireable. thx w » > "Matthew Ellsworth" <ellsworm@meridiancity.org> 09/27/07 2:09 PM » > Hello, The Meridian Planning Department has compiled comments received to date on the South Meridian Comprehensive Plan Amendment. A map of comments by geographical area is attached, as is a summary of those comments, and the May 31 meeting notes. The continued public hearing for this proposed amendment is scheduled for November 1, 2007. Interested members of the public are encouraged to attend the hearing and provide testimony at that time. On October 4, 2007, Staff will give a presentation to the Planning & Zoning Commission about the Blueprint for Good Growth, adequate public facilities, timing and sequencing of service provision, and Council priorities for future development and City investment. These issues relate to and will influence the outcome of the South Meridian Comprehensive Plan, so interested parties are encouraged to attend. Public testimony about the South Meridian Plan will not be received at this presentation, but staff will be available to answer general questions. Background information about the South Meridian Comprehensive Plan and process to date is available at the following website: http://www.meridiancity.org/planning_zoning/south_meridian_study/index.a 1 sp.
