MERIDIAN CITY COUNCIL AUGUST 26. 1996
The Special meeting of the Meridian City Council was called to order by Mayor Robert D.
Corrie at 4:30 P. M.:
MEMBERS PRESENT: Walt Morrow, Glenn Bentley, Ron Tolsma, Charlie Rountree:
OTHERS PRESENT: Will Berg, Wayne Crookston, Gary Smith, Chief Gordon, Grant
Kingsford, John Ewing, Patsy Fedrizzi:
Corrie: The Meridian City Council will be approving the amended 1995/1996 Fiscal Year
budget and approving the tentative budget for 1996/1997. Council you have in front of you
the notice for the hearing. We need to approve the proposed expenditures from the ACHD
Impact fees of $800,000, are there any questions or comments on that amended budget?
Morrow: Mr. Mayor, I would move that we amend the budget to reflect the revenues
collected of $800,000 from the ACRD impact fees and the expenditure of those same
impact fees in the amount of $800,000.
Rountree: Second
Come: Motion made by Mr. Morrow, second by Mr. Rountree any further discussion? All
those in favor? Opposed?
MOTION CARRIED: All Yea
Corrie: The other one is the proposed expenditures for the 1996/1997 fiscal year, you have
that in front of you Council, any questions?
Morrow: Mr. Mayor, I would move that we approve the proposed budget for fiscal year
1997/1997, better known as fiscal year 97 for the City of Meridian.
Rountree: Second
Corrie: Motion made by Mr. Morrow, second by Mr. Rountree, any further discussion on
the motion? All those in favor of the motion as proposed? Opposed?
MOTION CARRIED: All Yea
Corrie: Any other questions?
Morrow: Mr. Mayor, Counsel asked if my motion was proposed budget or proposed
tentative budget, I think the proper wording would be proposed tentative budget. So if my
motion left out tentative I wish to incorporate that in the motion.

Corrie: Is that approved by the second?
Rountree: I will second that. I just wanted to ask the Chief if he got the dogs delivered this
morning?
Gordon: (Inaudible)
Corrie: Any further questions? Hearing none I will entertain a motion we adjourn.
Rountree: So moved
Morrow: Second
Corrie: Motion made and seconded we adjourn, all those in favor? Opposed?
MOTION CARRIED: All Yea

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Meridian will hold a public
hearing for consideration of an amendment to the 95/96 fiscal year budget by appropriating
additional monies received by the City of Meridian, said hearing to be held at City Hall, 33
East Idaho Avenue, Meridian, Idaho, at 6:00 P.M. on the 5th day of September, 1996.
PROPOSED EXPENDITURES
ACHD Impact Fees ..... $ 800.000
TOTAL $ 800,000
PROPOSED REVENUES
ACHD Impact Fees Collected ..... $ 800,000
TOTAL $ 800, 000
Expenditure of the monies will be in accordance with the provisions authorized by the
amendment of the budget.
