REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
TEN MILE INTERCHANGE SPECIFIC AREA PLAN
The City of Meridian is seeking a qualified consulting team to prepare a Specific
Area Plan for the vicinity of Ten Mile Interchange. Proposed Plan components include
I }land use plan, 2} transportation plan including access management}, 3}market
analysis, and 4} design guidelines. The geographic scope of this study is roughly}
McDermott Road to Linder Road, and Union Pacif c Railroad to % mile south of
Overland Road ~a map with specific area boundaries is included in the full RFP
materials}. Successful candidates will posses a strong familiarity with Meridian 1 west
Ada County, experience preparing specific area plans, a broad understanding of land use,
community design, environmental and transportation principles, and experience
conducting public meetings and workshops. Proposals must be submitted to the City
Clerk's Gffxce, City of Meridian, 33 East Idaho Avenue, Meridian, Idaho 83642, not later
than 5:00 p.m, Mountain Standard Time, Friday, April 28, 2006.
Proposals will be reviewed by a selection committee in accordance with criteria
outlined in the RFP. Upon selection, City staff will negotiate with the highest ranked
person or firm for a fixed-cost contract or agreement to perform such services at a price
determined to be reasonable and fair to the public aver considering the estimated value,
the scope, the complexity and the nature of the services.
The City of Meridian reserves the right to select a consultant based solely on the
submitted Proposal. However, up to three ~3}firms may be interviewed as part of the
selection process. The work will be awarded to the person or firm who, in the opinion of
designated City staff, is best qualified and equipped to perform the work. The City of
Meridian reserves the right to reject any andlor all responses.
