Classification and Compensation Project
Between the City of Meridian and BDPA, Inc.
Amendment #3
Scope of Work
The City seeks assistance in conducting a confidential workforce planning and feasibility study for the
Building Services Department. Based on the City's needs the primary study objectives will include:
1}Salary & benefitsltotal compensation market comparison,
2} Cost~benefit analysis, and
3}Recommendations for the immediate and near future.
BDPA, rnc, agrees to.
1. Review existing departmental materials and interview staff and managers as needed X16 hours;
Z, Conduct a total compensation market survey with other public and private entities (20 haurs~;
employers to be mutually identif ed;
3. Compile and analyze total compensation results ~~2 hours);
4. Conduct a cost~benefit analysis of several workforce planning options for the City Attorney (~0
hours
5. Follow-up with additional research ~1 ~ hours; and
6. Prepare f nal report for Council (I~ haurs~.
Estimated HourslCost:
BDPA estimates that approximately 154 hours plus 15% overhead and travel costs} will be needed to
conduct the work described above. The total fee is estimated at 154 his, x $70~hr. ~ $10,7$0, plus 15%
~$1,~ 17} and travel costs estimated at 100 miles ~a $.4$Slmile x$45.50} for a total cost of $12,445.50.
Hours will be billed on a monthly basis as work is conducted.
