City Clerk Office To: Mayor Robert D. Corrie, City Council Members, and Will Berg, City Clerk From: Chief Ken W. Bowers Date: January 10, 2003 Re: Annexation Request Into The City of Boise by Dunbar Estates On January 8, 2003, Mayor Corrie asked me if the property was in our Fire District, my response was yes it is. However, after checking with the Ada County Assessor's Office regarding the sites, Sites 1 and 3 (see map), are in the North Ada County Fire & Rescue District that Boise Fire is handling and Site 2 is in our Rural Fire Protection District. Also on January 8, 2003, City Council MemberTammydeWeerd asked if the Department would be able to service this area. With Fire Station #3 being built this year and located just 2.5 miles from the area, we would be able to service this area in a timely manner. Until this area is annexed into the City of Meridian, it will be difficult for both Boise Fire Department Captains and Meridian Fire Department Captains, to determine who has jurisdiction. This is a problem along other parts of our Districts eastern border, as well. If you have any questions, please call me at 888-1234. . Page t ~ Q) 0 0 \ I , 0 Q) o o ....
