AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN AMENDING SECTION 5-144,
CHAPTER 1, TITLE 5, OF THE REVISED AND COMPILED ORDINANCE OF THE
CITY OF MERIDIAN BY THE ADDITION THERETO OF A NEW SECTION TO BE
KNOWN AS 5-144 (C) PROVIDING THAT THERE SHALL BE NO CONNECTION
OF A LANDSCAPE IRRIGATION SYSTEM TO MERIDIAN CITY WATER IF THE
LANDSCAPE IRRIGATION SYSTEM IS SUPPLIED WATER FROM A SOURCE OTHER
THAN THE CITY OF MERIDIAN DOMESTIC WATER SYSTEM; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the City Council of the City of
Meridian, State of Idaho, have concluded that it is in the best
interest of the said City to insure that subdivision landscape
irrigation systems which are provided water from sources other
than the City of Meridian domestic water system are not connected
to the city domestic water system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, ADA COUNTY, IDAHO:
SECTION 1: That Section 5-144, Chapter 1, Title 5 of the
Revised and Compiled Ordinances of the City of Meridian is hereby
amended by the addition thereto of a new section to be known as
5-108 (C), which shall read as follows:
"5-144 (C): No subdivision, or building, lot, or parcel of
land located within that subdivision, which subdivision,
building, lot, or parcel of land, has a common landscape
sprinkler irrigation system being supplied landscape
irrigation water from a source other than the City of
Meridian's domestic water system, shall be allowed to also
connect its landscape sprinkler irrigation system to the
City of Meridian's domestic water system. PROVIDED HOWEVER,
all buildings, lots, or parcels of land, within the
subdivision connected to the common landscape sprinkler
irrigation system may be allowed one (i> joint-use point of
connection to the City of Meridian's domestic water system
which connection shall have an approved backflow prevention
device. This joint-use connection shall only be to provide
irrigation water during the time when the common landscape
irrigation system has no supply of water. The off-on
control valve of this joint use connection shall be under
the control of the City of Meridian Waterworks
Superintendent.
SECTION: EFFECTIVE DATE: WHEREAS, there is an emergency
therefor., which emergency is hereby declared to exist, this
Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage, approval anal publication according to law.

PROPERTY WHICH IS DESCRIBED AS LOT 11, 12, 13, 14 AND 15 IN BLOCK
2 OF F. A. NOURSE' S THIRD ADDITION, B. M. , ADA COUNTY, IDAHO; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council and the Mayor of the City of
Meridian, Idaho, have concluded that it is in the best interest
of said City to rezone in the said City real property which is
hereinbelow describede
Lots 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 in Block 2 of F. A. Nourse' s Third
Addition, according to the plat thereof recorded in Book 7
of Plats at page 229, records of Ada County, State of Idaho.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED By the Mayor and City Council
of the City of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho:
Section 1: That the above referenced real property
described as:
Lots 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15 in Block 2 of F. A. Nourse' s Third
Addition, according to the plat thereof recorded in Book 7
of Plats at page 299, records of Ada County, State of Idaho.
