I would like to apply for a Conditional Use Permit. My intention in applying for the
permit is to provide childcare in my home for approximately 6 children. I have a
teaching degree and twelve years of experience working with children. I have an extra
bedroom in my house which I would like to use as a playroom/learning area. The house
has ample backyard space for recreation and a large enclosed patio area that could be
used for picnicking and outdoor play. The house is the next to last on a dead end street
and the subdivision is walled off from the main road (Cherry Lane), so traffic is minimal.
The property includes plenty of parking space, including an area for RV parking which is
currently unused. Parents would have lots of space to park and easy access for bringing
children to the house.
Refuse is currently stored on the south side of the house in a covered area, away from
play areas. It is removed to the curb in front of the southeast corner of the front yard on
Wednesdays, where it is then collected by city services. I expect that our weekly trash
increase due to childcare could be handled by one extra round utility barrel and agree to
be physically and financially responsible for any refuse in excess of current amounts.
Water, sewer, and storm drainage are already existing on the property and structure and I
plan to be responsible for any increase in usage, as well as any additional utility or
services expense.
I agree to meet the standards required by city code for property posting.

Plan Size & Scale: The landscape plan must Lave a scale no s■?aller than 1 "=50' (1 "=20' is preferred) and k on a standard
drawing sheet, not to exceed 36"x48" (24"566" is paeferred). A plan which cannot be drawn in its entirety on a single sheet
must be drawn with appropriate match lines on two or more sheets.

Landlhape Plan Preparation: Preparing a landscape plan requires special skills. Landscaping involves more than a simple
arrangement of plants with irrigation; plants are not haphazardly placed in a way that fills up leftover space. Landscape
plans should be artfully and technically or$anized in a way that covveys cohereme, design, and organization. The
landscaping should enhance the physical environment as well as the project's aesthetic character. Also, requiringplans
prepared by a landscape professional minimizes the himlihood of trees dying. or interfering with otter adjacent site features.
Tberefore, all landscape plans shall be prepared by a laniscape designer, or qualified nurseryman.
