Re: Ten Mile Road Project No. 504003 - Cherry Lane Christian Church
Dear Fred:
I am writing as a follow-up to our telephone conversation today regarding the above-referenced matter. After researching this matter, I have learned that the Ten Mile, Franklin/Cherry
Lane Project is no longer budgeted for construction this year. The Project has been delayed indefinitely due to budget constraints and escalating costs. The Project is now estimated
to cost over $9 million. More importantly, ACHD has also learned from ITD that the Ten Mile Interchange has also been delayed, and the time frame for construction is uncertain. The
Ten Mile, Franklin/Cherry Lane Project was planned and programmed to be constructed in conjunction and coordination with the ITD Ten Mile Interchange Project.
In terms of ACHD right-of-way negotiations with your client, Cherry Lane Christian Church, ACHD sent a final offer on June 29, 2007, which has long expired. I am writing to inform you
that ACHD will not be going forward with its efforts to acquire your client’s property at this time. In the event the ACHD Commission decides to move forward with the Ten Mile, Franklin/Cherry
Lane Project, ACHD staff will contact your client regarding the right-of-way needs for the Project, if any.
