Sec. 1. It shall be unlawful for any person within the
corporate li~its of the City of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho
wilfully to resist, delay, or obstruct any public officer of
the City of Meridian, in the discharge, or attempt to discharge,
of any duty of his office.
Sec. 2. It shall be unlawful for any person within the
corporate limits of the seid City of Meridian, to attempt by
means of any threat or violence to deter or prevent any police
officer of the City of Meridian from performing any duty impos~d
upon such officer by law.
Sec. 3. It shall be unlawful for any person within the
corporate li~lts of the soid City of ~eridian to resist by force
or violence any police officer or other official or employee of
the City of ~eridian while in the discharge of his official duties.
Sec. 4. Any person violating any of the provisions of this
Ordinance, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable by a fine
of not less than Fifty Dollars ($50.00) and not mbre than One
i:Iundred Dollars (4;:100.00), or by imprisonuent for not l:lore than
thirty (30) clays in the city jail, or both such fine and imprison;..

Sec. 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its approval and publication as required by law.
Passed by the City Council end approved by the ~ayor of
the City of Meridian, i1.da County, Idoho, this 7th day of June, 19<J:8.
