At the City Council hearing for Bellabrook Villas on June 5,2007, the Council expressed a desire
for a stub street to be provided at the east boundary of this development for futute connection upon
the redevelopment of the parcel to the east. The Applicant has submitted a revised site plan, dated
July 15, 2007, which depicts an extension of E. Kalispell Drive to the eastern property line with a
cross access easement through Bellabrook. Staff supports the revisions made to the proposed site
plan as they are consistent with the provisions of the ODC and the Comprehensive Plan. Staff spoke
with Joe Silva, Meridian Fire Department, regarding the new stub street shown on the site plan and
he is supportive of the extension of E. Kalispell Drive to the east as shown.
If the Council decides to move forward with a decision of approval on this application, a
condition should be included for the Applicant to record a cross-access easement agreement with the
property owner to the east prior to application submittal for Certificate of Zoning Compliance for
any structutes within this development.
Since the last hearing, letters of support have been received from the following people: Eric &
Jennifer Barnett, Laura Anderson, Ryan Retz, and Charles Trainor, Planning Director at COMPASS.
