The revisions to the plat have taken much longer to get approval on from ownership. Due to that delay,
we think that we should request a P&Z hearing date in either September or October to ensure we can get

everything to you. Is it possible to amend the request for deferral to the September 17 P&Z hearing (or

the October 15 hearing, if that would be better for the City's agenda)? We were hoping to avoid the
deferral to August just to have to request deferral at that hearing as well.
Please let us know as soon as possible if you can amend the current request to a deferral to September

17 (first choice) or October 15 (if necessary due to City scheduling).

After additional conversations about timing of the P&Z hearing and necessary attention to the comments
within the staff report, we would like to request deferral to the July 16, 2026 P&Z hearing. We are
requesting this deferral in order to work through revisions and responses based on staff
recommendations and conditions. We are confident that we can work on these revisions to more closely
align with the staff evaluation, zoning code, and comprehensive plan goals as applied to this proposal.
Please let me know if you have questions or need anything additional to process this deferral request. I
will be online for the hearing tomorrow in case there are additional questions regarding the reasoning
behind the deferral request.

After reviewing the staff report, we have some concerns about some of the comments and need more
time to work through some of these with staff prior to going to the P&Z hearing. With that being said,
please consider this email the formal request to defer our item to a later P&Z hearing date. Please let us
know what specific date you would anticipate being available, or if we need to request a deferral to a
date non-specific.

at 6:00 pm. You may attend in person or virtually via Zoom – the link/phone number to join the meeting is
located at the top of the meeting agenda. Please call or e-mail with any questions.
Please submit any written response you may have to the staff report to the City Clerk’s office
(comment@meridiancity.org) and me as soon as possible. If you have a presentation you’d like to
present at the public hearing, please send it to the City Clerk’s office no later than 12:00 pm the day
of the hearing.
