Please accept this email and the accompanying documents as our response to the City's
comments regarding block length.
While we respectfully disagree with the City's interpretation of the block length
requirements and believe the current design complies with the intent and requirements of
the Unified Development Code, we are submitting a request for a Council waiver in an effort
to continue moving the project forward without further delay.
In addition, we have prepared an updated Block Length Exhibit and uploaded it to the City's
online portal for review. The exhibit identifies the block lengths within the project and
provides the information requested by staff.
Regarding the previously approved Summerlin West application, we do not intend to
withdraw that approval at this time. Based on advice of counsel, we will withdraw the prior
approval only after Council approval of the updated application and the associated
annexation of the additional property. This approach ensures that the existing approvals
remain in place until the new application has been fully approved.
Given that we have submitted the requested waiver application and updated exhibit, we
respectfully request that the project be scheduled for hearing at the earliest available date.
