Dear Meridian City Planners:
West Ada School District has experienced significant and sustained growth in student enrollment during the last ten
years. Based on current enrollment data specific to the area surrounding this proposed development, we estimate a
developmentconsistingof 321 single-familyunitsand 0 multi-familyunitscouldhouseapproximately 103schoolaged
children. Approval of this application will affect enrollments at the following schools in West Ada School District.

West Ada School District supports economic growth; however, growth fosters the need for additional school capacity.
Currently entitled developmentswillcontinueto haveanimpactonthedistrict’senrollment and available capacitysouth
of the interstate.
When schoolenrollmentexceedscapacity,tomeet the need for additional school capacity in this area one or more of
the following will be implemented:
Transportingstudentstoanalternateschoolwithavailableclassrooms.
Attendanceareaadjustmentsifthereisavailabilityinanearbyschool.
Passageofabondtobuildnewschoolstofittheenrollmentneeds.
Portableclassroomsplacedonthepropertyif space is available. Portable space is not available at Mary McPherson
Elementary.
WestAdaSchoolDistrict requestsdevelopers’considerationforprovidingsafewalkways,bikepaths,andpedestrian
access for our students to schools and community resources.
