APPROVAL OF MINUTES: March 25, 2026, meeting minutes approved. OLD BUSINESS: Commissioner Nelson gave updates about the Recycle a Bicycle event. Nelson will connect with Meridian Cycle for supplies. There is a good inventory of bikes. Rachele Klein noted that they would need a big container of slime. Staff will provide SWAC with a map of the event. Rachele also is seeking used bike helmets to give away at the event. Event is May 16th from 10 to 2. Commissioner Cory did not have any updates on the Public Works Expo. However, the event will be on June 4th from 4-7p. If Commissioners are available, please attend. Commissioner Cory discussed the Art Contest. Cory asked Staff Peter Hall to talk about communication. Hall informed SWAC that the Communication Dept is very busy with ADA website compliance tasks and will not be able to assist with developing outreach for the Art Contest event for 2026. Staff Hall commented that 60-day lead time is needed to develop outreach material. Cory proposed to the members to defer participating in the event until 2027. Page 2 of 2 All Materials presented at public meetings shall become property of the City of Meridian STAFF REPORTS: Staff Peter Hall gave the Quarterly Tonnage Report. The report covered the months from January to March 2026. The numbers for these months are very typical of what is seen during this time of the year. The HHW tonnage remained high. STAKEHOLDER UPDATES Rachele Klein gave Republic Services updates. She commented that the Republic landfill opened in February and is collecting material. The recycling center is getting lots of cardboard and receiving revenue. Lots of people are using the recycling center. No updates from Timber Creek Recycling. ADJOURNMENT: 4:31 pm
