Project Narrative for Project: High Desert Veterinary Hospital
To construct a new 3,620 sf single-story building for use as a veterinary clinic.This veterinary clinic is for
small animals only,with no overnight boarding, operating from 8am-6pm.
The exterior will be a grey stucco with tan stone and dark accents, dark trimmed windows,fascia, and
shingles. The size and scale of this building are similar to the other nearby commercial buildings.The
elevations feature a traditional style with hipped roofs and offsets in the walls for entrances and depth
around the building.There is a small outside fenced area at the back corner of the building for walking
dogs as necessary. Complimentary landscaping will accent the building.There will be sidewalks on all
sides of the building and adjacent to the parking lot for pedestrian access.There will be pedestrian
sidewalk connectivity to the Ten Mile walking path.The parking lot islands will have a mixture of trees
and low growing plants.
Work to include: construct a new single-story building with slab on grade floor, interior partition walls to
create individual/private exam rooms, a breakroom, accessible restrooms, a reception area, private
offices and other small associated rooms, installation of all interior finishes, fixtures, and built-in
furnishings, installation of associated site improvements, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work.
