Please enter it into the file records. Thanks, Jen.rw. CVeatclt Assistant City Planner Meridian Planning Department 660 E. Bibs was original given a new sign hung below Primerica as agreed upon as new tenants. That sign was then determined to be unapproved and was taken down the next day by our landlord. We are now six months in business with absolutely no storefront signage in place. The last discussion we had with our landlord is that he is not supporting us and will be backing Primerica J 00% to keep there existing signage in place. He said he will work with us for an alternate solution but only after the Primerica situation is resolved. His recomendation is that we your go for approval to put as large as lettering as possible on the building columns on each side of our storefront. Tf"this is our only option then we will work with that. The other option we suggested is left of the existing Primerica sign, but my concern is the singnage will be misleading and customers of both busineses will most likely attempt to enter the incorrect suite based on sign location. We really have only one goal and that is to grow our business and our number one customer complaint is they can'tfind us because we have no visible sign. We were not happy with the previous sign, but at least it was a sign. By the City Code, and under the Planned Sign Program, we are allowed to have a wall sign above our business (at the least). We have appliedfor this and been approved by the City. To summarize, the intent of this letter is to state my oposition to the Primerica sign remaining in place if we are offered no reasonable alternative like signage down the columns or above the primerica suite. Thank you, BIBS management. She said two things, one is that if you are going to submit this letter for City Council Review you need to 6/26/2007 Page 2 of3 clearly state that you are in opposition to Primerica's appeal to keep their sign where it is. Two, she said that your presence at the hearing tonight would carry a lot more weight with the Council than the letter. This is the only chance you get to state your case. By the City Code, and under the Planned Sign Program, you are allowed to have a wall sign above your business (at the least). You have applied for this and been approved by the City. Your agreement with the landlord is a civil matter, and Primerica's sign is illegal (off-premise and no sign approval from the City). The meeting starts at 7 pm at City Hall. Primerica's appeal is number 18 on the agenda so you could come a little later. I strongly urge one of you to go and perhaps a representative from Preferred Physical Therapy too. Please call if you have further questions. JeJlJ7!I. CV eateh .Assistant City Planner Meridian Planning Department 660 E. We signed our lease with a gentlemen's agreement from our landlord that we would not have a sign directly above our storefront because the Primerica was already in place. We then worked with the 6/26/2007 Page 3 of3 landlord to get a small box sign installed just below the existing Primerica. That sign was then determined to be unapproved and was taken down the next day by our landlord. We are now six months in business with absolutely no storefront signage in place. The last discussion we had with our landlord is that he is not supporting us and will be backing Primerica 100% to keep there existing signage in place. He said he will work with us for an alternate solution but only after the Primerica situation is resolved. His recomendation is that we your go for approval to put as large as lettering as possible on the building columns on each side of our storefront. The other option we suggested is left of the existing Primerica sign, but my concern is the singnage will be misleading and customers of both busineses will most likely attempt to enter the incorrect suite based on sign location. We already get a very negative feel from our Primerica neighbors and I am sure that will not help the situation. The bottom line for us I guess is that we feel we continually are dismissed when we try to get any type of signage and really have only one goal and that is to grow our business and our number one customer complaint is they can't find us. We were not happy with the previous sign, but at least it was a sign. I hope this is the information you are after. Please feel free to call me with any questions.
