Mr. Brown,
We received your letter of intent for the property at the Cheny Wood Center at Linder and Cherry
Lane. We were unable to attend due to our emplOyment. How convenient for the meeting to be
S(1heduled at 3:00 in the afternoon, when the majority of residence are a1 work. We oppose the re-
zoning of this property. I have been in contact with Barbara at City Planning and Zoning to gathet
information and anxiously await the public hearing yet to be scheduled. As far as the motor scooter
sales and !en-ice. it looks as if inventory has altead.y been moved into the 10000000n of 1723 W. Cherry
Lane, possibly without proper permits. I believe I speak for the residence in the cul-de-sac of
Silverado Place in the Vineyards Subdivision when I say we have been Ued to enough. Originally,
we were told the location of Cheny Wood Center was gomg to be professional office space.
Unfortunately, we bought the stol)' told by Holland Realty, and built here.
We have put up with trash pick-up beginning at 3:00 a.m., parking lot sweepers in the early morning
hours, beeping timers at the car wash, loud stereos, refrigeration units nmning all night after making
deliveries to the business at Chmy Wood Center, can, motorcycles &. snowmobiIes~ zooming
around behJnd your building as well as the Church parking lot at all hours, local radio stations setting
up in the parking lot to advertise and play their recordings loudly, a rock band performance, and of
late. an RV park in the Church's dirt parldnSlot when the Church is in full swing and now, motor
scooters zooming around. What better place to try them out then the Churoh parking lot.
I understand this isn't yOUl' problem, you are just scrambling for that pot of gold, to heck with the
quality of life. However, you don't have to deal with it. We went to the developer and City Hall at
the early stages of the subdivision to provido a barrier wall, not only for sound but security. I don't
know how many times all of us on the outward perimeter fence have replaced pickets on the fimces
from people cutting through our backyards, jumping the fence, one entered the house to the north of
us during midday only to be stopped from vandalizing the home by the homeowner's wife and her
three children. He jumped the fence to an awaiting vehicle.
Please do not expect us to roll over and play dead. I'll do what we can within the lbnia of City Hall
to stop this. We have been here for almost 14 years and have put up with enough. This isn't
expansion and growth, this is nothing more than greed.
Thank you for your time.
Respectfully.
