APPROVAL OF MINUTES: January 28, 2026, meeting minutes approved. OLD BUSINESS: Commissioner Cuhaciyan discussed the Art Contest updates. Cuhaciyan said these three things need to be worked on: communications, submission forms, and reach out for donations and sponsorship. The Art Contest sub-committee consists of Commissioners Cuhaciyan, Guajardo, and Danesh. Commissioner Cory stated that he can commit to working on donation needs and be part of the sub- committee. Staff Schultz will re-submit via email all the Art Contest documents including outreach to the sub-committee. The Commission is committed to doing this event. NEW BUSINESS: Recycle a Bicycle (RaB) Event updates were given by Commissioner Cory and Nelson. There will be a RaB sub-committee meeting soon with City staff to talk about roles and responsibilities. The sub- committee consists of Commissioner Nelson, Cory, and Rachele Klein of Republic Services. The event venue has been moved to Discovery Park for 2026. STAFF REPORTS: Legal Staff, Ali Breshears, gave a PowerPoint Presentation to SWAC regarding Idaho’s open meeting laws and ethics of being on a public commission. Page 2 of 2 All Materials presented at public meetings shall become property of the City of Meridian STAKEHOLDER UPDATES: Rachele Klein from Republic Services updated the Commission by informing them that Republic Services’ landfill in Elmore County received DEQ approval and is now open to the public.
