Per the provisions in Idaho Code S 39-118(2)(d), the City of Meridian has retained the
services of CH2M Hill as its Qualified Licensed Professional Engineer (QLPE), to verify that
the plans and specifications proposed for the above-referenced project comply with the IDEQ
Facility and Design Standards (IDAPA 58.01.16 and 58.01.08) and the applicable Meridian

the Facility and Design Standards, and Engineering Standards of Care as it relates to the

wastes for treatment. These determinations have been made by use of computer models
developed for our Sewer Master Plan. Tills project is also ~ithin the City's urban service
planning boundary. Our Domestic Water distribution system ca:q provide water service and the
minimum required fITe flow (1500 GPM) and the minimum required static pressure of 40 PSI.
These determinations have been made by use of computer models developed for our Water
Master Plan.
The City of Meridian will own and operate the wastewater collection and domestic water
distribution systems within this project upon fmal inspection and aclmowledgement by formal
acceptance letter. In essence, the City of Meridian "Will Serve" the project.
Attached for your records is a complete and accurate copy of the plans and specifications
reviewed in connection herewith, stamped "Approved for Construction."

Subject: Grace at Fairview Lakes - Phase 2 - QLPE Review,
Dear Mr. O'Brien:
Attached are three sets of the drawings'for the referenced project, stamped and sealed
following.our QLPE review of these drawings.
The water distribution system extension has been reviewed and found to meet IDEQ
requirements and the City's standard specifications. Main size, materials meeting
A WW A specifications, bedding, and appropriate separations distances from
contamination are met.
Tills project does comply with facility and design standards and engineering standard of
care as it relates to the elements reviewed in this project.
Please note that our contract with the City for QLPE reviews does not include the
determination of whether the sanitary sewer and treatment systems have adequate
capacity, nor whether the water system extensions can meet pressure demands. These
determinations should be made by City staff and included in the City's letter to IDEQ.
