Dear Committee Members:
I am writing to express my concerns regarding the proposed housing development planned behind
Woodbridge Subdivision.
While I understand the need for thoughtful growth and additional housing, I am particularly concerned
about the potential traffic impact this development will have on our neighborhood. Our existing roads
already experience congestion during peak morning and evening hours. Adding a significant number of
new homes will likely increase vehicle volume, create longer wait times at intersections at Eagle and
Locust Grove, and may pose safety risks for pedestrians, cyclists, and children in the area.
Per ACHD, this proposed development would route up to 5,000 additional cars through Woodbridge
each day. It is essential that infrastructure keeps pace with development. With no clear planned
alternate route, I do not agree with the proposed housing development. Let’s ensure infrastructure keeps
pace with development, instead of reacting after problems occur.
I respectfully request that the committee carefully consider these traffic implications before approving
the project and ensure that adequate safeguards and improvements are implemented.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
