APPROVAL OF MINUTES: October 22, 2025, meeting minutes approved. William Baber abstained from voting since he was not at the October meeting. OLD BUSINESS: Art Contest updates were scheduled to be done by Commissioner Cuhaciyan; however, she could not make the meeting. Commissioner Guajardo will connect with Commissioner Cuhaciyan before the next meeting to find out any updates. NEW BUSINESS: SWAC held their annual voting of Chair and Vice-Chair roles. Commission voted in Steve Cory as Chair and Mark Nelson as vice-chair for both another 1-year term. SWAC members reviewed the 2026 meeting scheduled for the fourth Wednesday of the month at 4pm, January through October. No changes were made. Commissioner Cory gave the CRF quarterly report, he stated the fund is about $108,000. Commissioner Cory gave the Ada County SWAC meeting report. There are three main things that were discussed at meeting. The Landfill is anticipating another dollar per ton increase effective October 1st. Ground water monitoring of PFAS/PFOS was discussed, and the landfill is receiving revenue from the RNG plant. Page 2 of 2 All Materials presented at public meetings shall become property of the City of Meridian STAFF REPORTS: Peter Hall gave the annual tonnage report. Tonnage was compared for the years 2024 and 2025. Curbside recycling increased by 8% over the year. There was an increase in the residential diversion rate from 2024 to 2025. Commercial diversion rate decreased. HHW tonnage increased. The bulky item program also saw an increase in usage for 2025. Recycle the fall leaf collection saw more tons in 2025 than 2024. STAKEHOLDER UPDATES: Republic Services, GM Chase Cresto updated SWAC on their Sawtooth Regional landfill. The tipping fee will be $40 per ton. Timber Creek, Mike Murgoitio, updated SWAC on the Meridian composting location. ADJOURNMENT: 4:55 pm
