Reports (Action may be taken if Necessary) Monthly Experience Reports As of 9/25 costs of claims has increased 16-17% over 2024. 3 Claims have hit stop-loss to date. 2 claims combined for nearly $1M in cost. 3rd Q deficit at $750K. Budget amendment needed in December for remainder of year. Monthly Financial Reports RW to send out when they are available. Quarterly Financial Reports Q4 ends 12/31/25 RW to send out when they are available. Discussion and Action Items DOI Update Shawn’s application approved by DOI, need to add to the next Council meeting for approval and resolution. Kick-off meeting for the 5 year DOI audit today. Hoping to finish by end of February. Deficit Discussion Council approved funding request for $781,011. Committed to Council to provide quarterly updates. Discussed mid-year plan changes as a possible mechanism to satisfy future deficits. Budget Amendment Request to City Council See above. New Board Member Approval process Bill to add to January 6th Council meeting. New Legal Counsel selection process Reba put together contact information and questionnaire questions. Bill to reach out initially and direct them to Christena to coordinate with Alex. Christena and Alex to vet out the 3 contacts and bring a recommendation back to the Board. Succession Planning for Board members Develop a process to fill Board vacancies. Discuss with Benefits committee and work toward a formal process. Board agreed that they should be brought up through the Benefits Committee for continuity and provide them needed experience/knowledge, unless they have previous self-funding experience. Bill to craft a draft procedure and present to the Board.
