Hi Jeremy –
I don’t believe I replied to this. Sorry for the delay!
Yes, this is what we agreed to. My only comment would be to clarify that the existing attached sidewalk
on Ustick should be demo-ed and replaced with the 10’ wide new sidewalk. We do require a monolithic
pour, rather than an add-on.
Ok to use existing curb-and-gutter if it’s in good condition.
Also, as discussed, it’s acceptable to work around existing irrigation boxes provided a minimum 8’
pathway width is maintained at areas of conflict. If the 8’ minimum width can’t be maintained, irrigation
structures will need to be relocated or reconfigured.
I did add a note to say that unless the existing asphalt pathway (at the southwest corner/Ustick side) is in
optimal condition (I think probably it’s not), it should be replaced with new 10’ wide concrete pathway.
I will upload these updated pathway conditions to the project record and sign off on it today.
Thanks,
Kim

Kim,
Thank you for taking the time to visit with me this afternoon, I really appreciate your help.
To confirm what we spoke about, we will be widening the attached sidewalk on Ustick, to make it a 10' wide
attached sidewalk, from the existing multi-use pathway at the Creason Lateral to the corner of Ustick & Linder,
highlighted here.
The sidewalk on Linder will remain as it exists now, a 7' wide attached sidewalk.
Please let me know if I missed anything or if you have any additional comments.
1
Thank you,
2

Project Name: PAW Subdivision PP File No: H-2024-0073 Date: 1.25 1.21.2026
The following will be required for development of the proposed project:
CONDITIONS OF APPROVAL- PATHWAYS
1. The project developer shall design and construct multi-use pathways consistent with the location and
specifications set forth in the Meridian Pathways Master Plan Map and Master Pathways Plan Document
Chapter 3). Any proposed adjustments to pathway alignment shall be coordinated through the Pathways
Project Manager. Interactive Pathways Map
2. Prior to final approval the applicant shall dedicate a public access easement for a multi-use pathway (10'
wide detaehed sidewalk) along the north side of Ustick Rd to connect the existing pathway at the west
project boundary to the intersection at Linder and Ustick Road. Pathway may be attached in this location,
per follow-up conversation (Jan 2026).
Demo existing sidewalk on Ustick Rd. and re-pour. New sidewalk/pathway may be narrowed to a min.8' if
needed to skirt irrigation boxes. If minimum 8' width cannot be maintained, irrigation boxes will need to
be relocated or reconfigured.
Note: any existing asphalt pathway at the west edge of the project (along Ustick Rd) that is not in optimal
condition must be replaced with 10' concrete sidewalk.
Existing sidewalk along Linder may be retained,as-is. Because there is bike lane in this location, the sidewalk
functions as part of a complete pedestrian facility.
Limit the number of connections between private sidewalks and the multi-use pathway.
Easements shall be a minimum of 14'wide(10' pathway+2'shoulder each side). Easement need only be
dedicated for multi-use pathways that lie outside the public ROW.
Use standard City template for public access easement. Submit all easements online through Citizen's
Access Portal.
3. Construct multi-use pathways per paving section based on existing site conditions as recommended by
project civil engineer in accord with UDC 11-3A-8 and 11-313-12. Prior to final approval the applicant's
engineer shall provide written documentation that the pathway segment was constructed per the
recommended specifications.
4. The owner (or representative association) of the property affected by each public access easement shall
have an ongoing obligation to maintain the multi-use pathway.
