APPROVAL OF MINUTES: July 23, 2025, meeting minutes approved. OLD BUSINESS [ACTION ITEMS] Commissioner Cuhaciyan proposed to work on the Art Contest and SWAC rejoining the event next year. Commissioners Danesh, Cuhaciyan, and Guajardo will work on details. Cuhaciyan will bring a proposal to SWAC about how to participant to the October meeting. Commissioner Danesh commented that MYAC could help spread the word at schools to get more youth participation. Commission Guajardo suggested the Girl Scouts could also spread the word in the youth community. NEW BUSINESS [ACTION ITEMS] Commissioner Cory discussed tours for SWAC members to attend. Commissioners talked about the MTS, Boise Facilities, Ada Co. Landfill, EAW Glass, Ada Co. Hazardous Waste Site, metal recycling locations, and re-use sites. STAKEHOLDER UPDATES Rachele Klein from Republic discussed how they will not be offering free one-time a-year cart exchanges for equal or larger cart sizes. This is not in the Meridian-Republic contract but an extra service they use to provide.
