12. The maximum height limitations shall notapply tothefollowing, non-

roofline.
23. The maximum height limitations shallnotapply tothefollowing: spire;
amateur radio antenna; bridge tower; fire and hose tower; observation tower;
power line tower; smokestack; water tank ortower; ventilator; windmill; wireless
communication facility, orother commercial orpersonal tower and/orantenna
structure; orother appurtenances usually required tobeplaced above thelevel of
theground andnotintended forhuman occupancy.
34. Notwithstanding other heightlimitations asset forthin this chapter, the
maximum height foreducation facilities shall befifty (50) feet.
45. Noexception shall beallowed to theheight limitwhere theheight ofany
structures will constitute ahazard tothesafe landing and takeoffofaircraft inan
established airport.
6. Any person requesting aheight exemption shall providedetailed information,
including thetype, location, and dimensions oftherequested feature(s), with the
application submittal.

45. IntheO-TandTN-Cdistricts, theadditional height allowed islimited as
follows:
a. Inthearea defined asthecitycore inchapter 1ofthis title, additional
building height may deviate uptotwenty (20) percent oftheminimum or
maximum height intheO-T districtsubject to thealternative compliance
procedures setforthinchapter 5, "administration", ofthis title. Proposed
building height exceeding twenty (20) percent ofthemaximum orminimum
height forthedistrict requires approval through aconditional usepermit. In
nocase shall thebuilding heightexceed fifty (50) percent ofthemaximum
height allowed inthedistrict.
b. Additional building height notto exceed twenty (20) percent ofthe
maximum height allowed fortheTN-Cdistrict may beapproved bythe
Director through the alternative compliance procedures setforth inchapter 5,
administration", of this title. Additional height shall beallowed when the
development provides ten (10) percentofthebuilding squarefeet inopen
space, courtyards, patios, orother usable outdoor space available for the
employees and/orpatrons ofthe structure, excluding required setbacks and
landscape buffers.
c. Additional building heightexceeding twenty (20) percent ofthemaximum
height allowed fortheTN-C districtorwhen additional height isrequested
without providing the required open space inaccord with subsection (B)(4)b
ofthis sectionrequires approval through aconditional usepermit.
