Meridian City Council Special Meeting September 19, 2002
The Special Meeting of the Meridian City Council was called to order at 5:00 P.M.
on Thursday, September 19, 2002, by Mayor Robert Corrie.
Members Present: Mayor Robert Corrie, Bill Nary, Keith Bird and Tammy de
Weerd.
Members Absent: Cherie McCandless
Others Present: Sharon Smith, Bill Nichols, and Julie Fischer.
Item 1. Roll-call Attendance:

Item 2. Adoption of the Agenda
Item 3. Executive Session per Idaho Code §67-2345(1)(b):
Corrie: Okay, I will open the Special Meeting of the Council Thursday September
19, 2002 at 5:00 P.M. City Council will hold an Executive Session according to
State Code 64-2345 (1) (b). This time I will entertain a motion to go into
Executive Session then.
Bird: So moved.
Nary: Second.
Corrie: Okay. Motion made and second, roll-call vote please.
Roll-call vote: Bird, aye; De Weerd, aye; Nary, aye; McCandless, absent.
Corrie: Okay, thank you. What time does the other start? Seven.
De Weerd: Seven.
Bird: We could close it in there if we had to, couldn’t we?
Corrie: Yes we can.
Bird: We can bring the tape in there.

Corrie: Do you want this Bill?
Nary: No, I don’t need it.
Corrie: Oh that’s the other one. Oh okay.
(Enter Executive Session 5:10 P.M.)
(Return from Executive Session)
Corrie: I will entertain a motion to come out of Executive Session.
De Weerd: So moved.
Bird: Second.
Corrie: All those in favor say aye. Okay let the record show that there were no
decisions were made in the Executive Session. I will now entertain a motion to
close the special hearing.
Bird: So moved.
De Weerd: Mr. Mayor.
Corrie: Yes ma’am.
De Weerd: It also should be noted that Cherie McCandless is present.
(Cherie McCandless enters at 5:30 P.M.)
Corrie: Now.
De Weerd: Before we adjourn.
Corrie: Okay. Happy Birthday Cherie.
Bird: Should we sing Happy Birthday?
De Weerd: I move we adjourn.
Bird: I moved it.
De Weerd: Second.
Corrie: All those in favor say aye.
