RE: Meridian 118 Development—ITD Development Condition Memo
Dear Mr. White,
Thank you for providing the Idaho Transportation Department(ITD)the opportunity to review the Meridian 118 Traffic
Impact Study(TIS).The analysis shows that both background trips in 2030 and the increased site traffic from the Meridian
118 development results in additional storage capacity needs for the southbound left turn lanes at the Ten Mile Interchange.
ITD determined a viable solution for increasing storage at these southbound turn lanes is to remove the existing median
landscape island and replace with pavement. ITD determined the Meridian 118 Development's proportionate share
contribution towards this improvement would be$19,977.This is based off the development's site trips through the Ten
Mile Interchange for the southbound left turn movement in comparison to total southbound left turns at this interchange in
2030. Details of the proportionate share calculation are included in the attached ITD Staff Technical Report.
ITD has been in discussion with ACHD regarding future improvements needed at the Ten Mile Interchange and ITD is looking
for opportunities to accelerate a funded project to address this upcoming identified need. If you have any questions or
