Dear Staff members,
This letter is in regards to a Comprehensive Plan Amendment Application that we are
submitting for review and approval.
Property, located at 1303 E. Central Drive, is proposed for a new high school within the Joint
School District No.2 and possible higher education for a major university. The building will
house high school administration offices, general classrooms, vocational technology programs
with teaching spaces and offices for higher education. Surrounding the building will be adequate
parking for the Joint School District Service Center, high school faculty with students and
university faculty with students.
The high school is scheduled to open for Fall of 2007 classes with future classes opening in Fall
2008 pending on a successful bond election in 2007. The higher education schedule is not
defined at this time but is anticipated to move into the facility around the same time as the high
school.
Currently the property is zoned for I-L which does not allow the use requested. It is our
request to have the property rezoned to C-G and the comprehensive plan amended to
accommodate the new zone. We feel this project will compliment and improve the guide to
future growth and development for the City of Meridian.

2006, the School District entered into the Lease with BCC'RPI Meridian LLC, as the Landlord,
of the Tabil Building fOI"'the entire Jabil Building I have attached hereto as Exhibit "A" a legal

for ~our review, as Exhibit "B", a copy of the recorded Memorandum of Lease with Options to

As a condition of the Lease, the Landlord 8J'anted the School District an option to
pW"chase the entire preD?\ses in two.(2) pOItions. ThB School District paid an option price in
connection with the execution of the Lease and exeIcised its ~tion to purchase the office space
pOItion (the "Initial Portion") of tM JabiI Buildinglll I have attached hereto as Exhibit "c" a
copy of the depiction of the Initial POItion and a legal descIiption of the Initial Portion, A

placed into escrow by the Landlord.

Dear Staff members,
This letter is in regards to a Rezone Application that we are submitting for review and approval.
Property, located at 1303 E. Central Drive, is proposed for a new high school within the J~int
School District No.2 and possible higher education for a major university. The building will
house high school administration offices, general classrooms, vocational technology programs
and teaching spaces with offices for higher education. Surrounding the building will be adequate
parking for the Joint School District Service Center, high school faculty with students and
university faculty with students.
The high school is schedule to open for Fall of 2007 classes with future classes opening in Fall
2008 pending on a successful bond election in 2007. The higher education schedule is not
defined at this time but is anticipated to move into the facility around the same time as the high
school.
Currently the property is zoned for I-L which does not allow the use requested. It is our
request to have the property rezoned to C-G for use of this building. We feel this project will
compliment and improve the guide to future growth and development for the City of Meridian.

Counties, Idaho ("School District") legal interests in connection with the Lease and Option to
Purchase (the "Lease") of the real propelty and improvements located in Melidian, Idaho,
commonly refeIIed to as the Jabil Buildinlj {"Jabil BuU<Ung'} On Wednesday, Octobet 25,
2006, the School District entered into the Lease with BCCRPI Meridian LLC, as the Landlord,
of the Tabil Buildin~ foithe entire Tabil Building I have attached hereto as Exhibit "A" a legal
description ofthS entiIe premises being leased qy the School District. I have also attached hereto
for yow!::Teview,~as Exhibit "B", a copy ofthe recorded Memorandum of Lease with Options to
Purchase fOl~om."review.
As a condition of the Lease, the Landlord granted the School District an option to
pm-chase the entire premises in two. (2) pOltions. Tlie School District paid an option price in
connection with the execition of the tease and exercised its option to purchase the office space
portion (the "Initial Portion") of the Jabil Building~.., I have attached hereto as Exhibit "e" a

COMMITMENT OF PROPERTY POSTING
Per Unified Development Code (UDC) 11-5A-5D, the applicant for all applications requiring a
public hearing (except for a unc text amendment, a Comprehensive Plan text amendment
and/or vacations) shall post the subject property not less than ten (10) days prior to the hearing.
The applicant shall post a copy of the public hearing notice of the application(s) on the property
under consideration.
The applicant shall submit proof of property posting in the form of a notarized statement and a
photograph of the posting to the City no later than seven (7) days prior to the public hearing
attesting to where and when the sign(s) were posted. Unless such Certificate is received by the
required date, the hearing will be continued.
The sign(s) shall be removed no later than three (3) days after the end of the public hearing for
which the sign(s) had been posted.
