Sonya and Bill,
Sorry for the delay, was just confirming that with my team. Have heard back from almost everyone.
Gary Hawkins was kind enough to take the Hawkins sta? on a trip that week of Jan 15, so I think February
5 works better for us as well.
And you are right Bill; I think the additional time will be helpful for everyone.
We will plan on February 5.
Please let us know of any issues or concerns that you have during your review so that we can begin
addressing them.
Cheers,
Ethan

Good Morning Ethan,
I hope you’re doing well. I appreciate Sonya providing you with the next available hearing date, but I recommend
extending this project into February to allow additional time. While we have been processing the application for a
while, we would appreciate su?icient time to prepare a thorough sta? report, as this will take a coordinated e?ort
with others in the Division. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Sincerely,
Bill Parsons, AICP | Current Planning Supervisor

Hi Ethan,
I really appreciate your kind response and understanding. Unfortunately, it looks like I’m going to need to be out of
the o?ice the rest of this week at a minimum and possibly longer – the Syringa Crossing project will need to be
continued to a later hearing date to allow me to complete the sta? report & to allow adequate time for you and the
Commission to review the report. With the holidays coming up, the next available Commission hearing date will be
th
January 15 – I’m so sorry, I wish it was sooner ??????.
Please provide a request for continuance to the Clerk to that hearing date if that will work for your team. If that
th
date doesn’t work, the next available date is February 5.
Again, my since apologies for this delay.
Thank you,
2
Sonya

Sonya,
I’m really sorry to hear about your family. I hope everything is going as well as possible for you, and I am
sending positive thoughts your way.
Please keep me posted.
I agree with you that it is best that all parties have adequate time to digest the report. I think that is more
important on this project than rushing to a hearing.
When you have some time, let me know when a good hearing date is.
Cheers,
Ethan

Ethan,
I just wanted to let you know I have some personal issues I’ve been dealing with last week that are encroaching
into this week in regard to an unexpected medical issue with a family member and am not sure if I’ll be able to
complete the sta? report for this project and get it out to you by this Friday before the hearing next Thursday. If I am
able to complete it, it will likely be late, which may not allow you and the Commission adequate time to review it
prior to the hearing. Therefore, it may need to be continued to a later hearing date. I will be out of the o?ice today
and will touch base with you later this week to give you another update.
Thanks,
