Thank you, Nick Napoli| Associate Planner City of Meridian | Community Development 33 E. Broadway Ave., Meridian, Idaho 83642 Phone: (208) 489-0574 Built for Business, Designed for Living. From: MARTIN HILL <amityhill@aol.com> Sent: Tuesday, December 9, 2025 6:02 PM To: Nick Napoli <nnapoli@meridiancity.org> Subject: Hill’s Century Farm Townhouses H-2024-0072 External Sender - Please use caution with links or attachments. To Meridian City Council, RE: Hill’s Century Farm Townhouses H-2024-0072 I’m writing to inform you at this time that I’m opposed to the 2 story housing that is being proposed. However at this time I do not have a problem with single story. I am unable to attend the meeting on December 16th as I am in Arizona. My property borders the west side of Hillsdale Park. When I donated the ground for the YMCA and the Park, Fred Shoemaker, the Attorney for the YMCA drew up paperwork so that I would have a “View Corridor” from my house looking Northeast. This would maintain my view of the foothills looking at Bogus Basin. At the time Mr. Shoemaker drew up the papers, I thought it was for future development. When the park was built, the Parks Department planted trees off our patio and on the north side of the park, and they spaced the trees so as we still had our view. The traffic congestion getting out of Travistock onto Amity Rd is terrible and adding another 70 homes is going to be a real headache even with the stoplight at South Hillsdale Ave. Also, with Hillsdale Elementary School at full capacity, this could even make it very challenging to have more students attending Hillsdale. 1 I’ve attached an email from David Duro President and CEO of the Treasure Valley Family YMCA who reached out to me regarding the View Corridor. Please reach out to me if the council has any questions, comments or thoughts regarding this matter. 208-850-7535 or amityhill@aol.com Respectfully, Marti Hill 2 Charlene Way From:MARTIN HILL <amityhill@aol.com> Sent:Tuesday, December 9, 2025 5:49 PM To:Kimberly Hill Subject:Fwd: YMCA Property Agreement Attachments:Gift Deed (Marti Hill to YMCA) - RE-RECORDED to include PDF.pdf Sent from my iPad Begin forwarded message: From: David Duro <David.Duro@ymcatvidaho.org> Date: December 9, 2025 at 11:19:21 AM MST To: Marti Hill <amityhill@aol.com> Subject: YMCA Property Agreement Marti - It is amazing to see what your donation of 15.6 acres of land to the YMCA has become. The construction of the Tomlinson South Meridian Y, Hillsdale Elementary School, and Hillsdale Park has made this the premiere place to live and raise families in Meridian. Thank you again for this important and visionary act of generosity. I know your intent in this donation and other development of the surrounding area was to maintain a view corridor from your residence to the Boise foothills and mountains. This intent is stated clearly in Section 3 of the Gift Deed (please see attached). Please feel free to forward this message to anyone in the case that it may be helpful.
