Strate Apartments
Dear Will:
lIDs is in regard to the application of Gene Strate Apartments at 911 East Pine
A venue as noted above,
We have properties next to the one acre parcel (931 & 933 East Pine Avenue).
Our concern is not that Mr. Strate proposes to build apartments, but that the ones with the
bedrooms upstairs are proposed to be built on our side of the property - which would
enable the occupants of these apartments to look out over our movements every day.
We asked Gene to put the tall buildings on his side of the property and the one
level buildings on our side. Gene stated that wasn't possible because of a 20 foot set out
on his side. The lot is one acre, no matter how they set. The same feet if measured -- any
way you measure it. No matter how they are built it is still one acre.
While I do not blame the Strates for not wanting occupants looking over them
every day - but neither do we. When these are built they are permanent. They are his to
build and we think he should - but make them neighbor friendly.
Weare asking that the apartments with the two levels be moved to the opposite
side of the one acre property the plan shows they are to be built on.
