THANKS FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO COMMENT ON THE STAFF REPORT PRIOR TO THE P&Z HEARING
ON 5/17. MY COMMENTS/QUESTIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS:
1)JUST TO CLARIFY, THE RECENT PROPERTY SURVEY AND ADA COUNTY RECORDS INDICATE THE
SUBJECT PROPERTY SIZE AS 2.79 ACRES, NOT 3.32 ACRES.
2)ITEM 6.b. "...COMMERICAL DEVELOPMENT PROPOSED TO THE WEST...". PLEASE PROVIDE WHAT
INFORMATION YOU HAVE ABOUT THIS DEVELOPMENT - WE HAVE ASKED AROUND BUT HAVE NOT
BEEN ABLE TO GET ANY INFORMATION ON HOW THIS LAND WILL BE DEVELOPED IN THE NEAR
FUTURE.
3)ITEM 6.e.1. RECENTLY, DIGLlNE HAD MARKED (3) SANITARY SEWER STUBS AND (3) DOMESTIC
WATER STUBS ALONG THE NORTH SIDE OF OVERLAND. DO THESE NOT EXIST? THERE WERE NO
SEWER OR WATER SERVICES MARKED BY DIGLlNE ON JADE - DO THESE EXIST?
4)ITEM 6.e.2. WE WILL ATTEMPT TO PRESERVE SOME OF THE EXISTING TREES, OR MITIGATE IF
NECESSARY.
5)ITEM 6.e.3. MY FEMA MAPS CALL OUT 'AE' AND 'X' ZONES, BUT NOT AN 'X5'. PLEASE EXPLAIN WHAT
AN 'X5' DESIGNATES.
6)ITEM 6.e.5. WE ARE IN RECEIPT OF AN ACHD DOCUMENT/REPORT DATED 5/8/07 REGARDING THIS
APPLICATION THAT IDENTIFIES THEIR PRELIMINARY FINDINGS AND COMMENTS. IT APPEARS THAT
THE PLANNED ACCESS MEETS WITH THEIR APPROVAL.
7)ITEM 6.1. THE LOCATION OF THE JADE AVENUE ACCESS IS APPROXIMATELY 200' NORTH OF THE
SOUTH PROPERTY LINE AS NOTED IN ITEM 8 PAGE 5.
8)ITEM 10. PAGE 6. WE )/VILL PROVIDE A DRAWINGIDETAIL/ILLUSTRATION NEXT WEEK THAT WILL
CLARIFY THE 'LOOK'-OF THE EAST ELEVATION.
9)ITEM 10. PAGE 7. I AM SCHEDULED TO MEET WITH JOHN OVERTONE OF THE MERIDIAN POLICE
DEPARTMENT ON 5/15/07 TO DISCUSS NATURAL SURVEILLANCE OPPORTUNITIES, BUT FLIPPING OF
THE BUILDING IS UNLIKELY.
10)ITEM 10. PAGE 7. WE WOULD LIKE A CLARIFICATION THAT THE MULTI-USE PATHWAY MAY BE
REQUIRED AS NOTED IN'ITEM 6.3 OF THE AGENCY AND DEPARTMENT COMMENTS.
11 )ITEM 1.2 PAGE 2 OF THE AGENCY & DEPARTMENT COMMENTS. THE ACHD REPORT DATED 5/8/07
STATES THAT ADDITIONAL SIDEWALK WORK ALONG OVERLAND IS NOT REQUIRED. A SIDEWALK
ALREADY EXISTS ALONG THE NORTH SIDE OF OVERLAND ROAD.
12)ITEM 3.10 OF THE AGENCY & DEPARTMENT COMMENTS. I AM AWAITING A RETURN PHONE CALL
FROM THE ADDRESSING SPECIALIST TO ELIMINATE THE CONCERN REGARDING ADDRESS VISIBILITY.
13)ALL OTHER ITEMS IN THIS STAFF REPORT APPEAR ACCEPTABLE AS WRITTEN.
