Subject:Hill’s century farm townhome zoning request
External Sender - Please use caution with links or attachments.
The request by Brighton to construct approx 70 townhomes in an already strained road
system will not be beneficial for current residents, small businesses and potential new
businesses.
S Hillside road is already congested with current day to day activities by members of the
YMCA and the elementary school now new residents from Centerville.
Do even get me started on the congestion on Amity road between Eagle and Coverdale.
With no reliever road to connect the current subs of Century Farm, Hillsdale Creek, Rock
Hampton and Shelburne from Amity to either Eagle or Coverdale the existing road cannot
handle the storage.
Amity will need to be expanded to either a 3-4 lane roadway. Then the same to Coverdale.
This is just for the existing residents and businesses.
Are road studies available about more residential homes in the area?
Will the project owner take on some financial responsibility for these road upgrades instead
of the tax paying public?
I strongly recommend not to approve of this reasoning request until firm plans and funding
are available to increase the current capacity of the surrounding road system.
And no, current improvements to Eagle will not be a reliever to this situation.
Thank you for your time on this matter.
