Hi just reaching out about the zoning application by Brighton to build on 9 acres off of Amidy. And I beg
for you to turn it down. Whatever we build now will be here for a lifetime and will affect the future quality
of life for all who live here. And so much of our planning is haphazard, done after the fact, and this area
has too small of roads, way too many homes, no yards, no privacy in our yards/ homes ects. And
simply not enough amenities. We still have to drive to the center of town to get anything; And 9 acres of
homes is beyond too much for what the roads can handle. I really encourage us to really consider what
we are leaving behind as a legacy and hope that we approve and plan for things thoughtfully, not just
approve what ever it is that benefits large & influential family business.
What has happened with CBH and the lack of regulation that requires space for family homes and living,
requiring quality & charming builds that can stand the test of time, As well as planning for wider roads
before approving building is sad!
I know that the city planning in St. George Utah when they were exploding, froze all building permits until
they had designed and brought in a really good city planning/ road construction team to create a vision
and plan in order to leave behind the best for the next generation. And I really encourage us to really
think about what we are doing and do the same.
Also. If I might add on this email a proposition to put walking bridges across Eagle, one going east to west
and another crossing amidy north to south, to allow for safe transportation
biking and walking from community to community as well as access to the amenities. This would provide
freedom to the thousands of kids who live in this area and would make this area much more accessible
by foot and bike as it is getting really dangerous! !
Thanks so much
