Hello Caleb -
Thanks for the time with you, Anna and Shaun this afternoon. Based on that discussion, I am sending this email to
formally request deferral of the Planning and Zoning Hearing from May 3, 2007 to June 7, 2007 based on the
following reasons.
1) With information learned today, we will meet with the northern neighbors to see what solutions will better
address their concerns. Please note for record there is not any known communication from them to my office
or with the applicant regarding this issue. However, we agree it is important and definitely prefer / want the
opportunity to offer a solution to Planning and Zoning Commission instead of just identifying a problem.
2) Continue the neighbor concern / solution review with Police, Fire and ACHD.
3) Support your efforts with staff change, and workload in front of Meridian City, to have ample time to review
our information provided, and allow us to respond to your concerns.
4) Come as close as we can to a project with fewer questions and good solutions.
5) I will be out of town May 17, 2007.
Our first effort is to organize a meeting with the neighbors, possibly at Staff offices as discussed. I will keep you and
Shaun Wardle apprised of action steps taken.
