Warren Stewart, P.E.I City Engineer CfE ID From: Zach Meyers<zmeyers@brightoncorp.com> Sent:Tuesday, October 29, 2024 8:32 AM To:Warren Stewart<wstewart@meridiancity.org> Subject: Pollard North and Alden Ridge External Sender-Please use caution with links or attachments. Warren, I've been looking Pollard North a little bit more and had a follow up. Obviously,we don't want to extend more sewer than is needed. There's additional cost to us to install, and if it is never utilized there is additional cost to the city to maintain. With the removal of property served west of Hwy 16 from the master sewer plan, one stub is adequate to feed the property north currently pre-platted as Alden Ridge. We discussed the sewer stub already shown at the Woodhead Ave. stub street which is located at the midpoint of the Alden Ridge project. think what I struggle with is why are we not building the system for what is approved today? I understand that your concern is the lack of movement from the Alden Ridge project, but diving into approval and document processing, it appears that they have a history of waiting until the last minute. I believe your concern, though unlikely, can be addressed with the stub that is located within the public right of way in Pollard Ln. Is there a reason that this existing stub provided would not be considered accessible to the western most parcel? I appreciate you taking the time last Tuesday to talk and your time looking at this again. Thankyou, **On a side note, the easement you and I talked about after. Looks like there was confusion during the submittal and review and it was never processed. It was never intended to be a vacation of easement nor did that ever happen. We've officially submitted the easement to extend and cover what is needed per the record drawings out at Ten Mile.** EP E¢— _P •EP •EP— d3 a: EP - - ii sii I LL FC3 SSMH 15 ( 6—INGFt} RIM;2528.3- DEPTLi:8.2' I 8"hh1- 1+130 $ 2+00 INS IN;2520,51 a' (N) INV OUT;25MA8 8" (E) MERIDIAN RESEARCH — SEWERALIGfJMENT'C" 400.0' of S" PVG i PARK LLC REFER TO PP3.2 FOR PROFILE r • - - SSMH #1 Q (48—I1411CH) RIM;2578-98 . .
