BY THE CITY COUNCIL: CAVENER, LITTLE ROBERTS, OVERTON,
STRADER,TAYLOR,WHITLOCK
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MERIDIAN REAPPOINTING
SEOYOON SONG TO SEAT 9 OF THE MERIDIAN ARTS COMMISSION AND DIVYA DANESH TO
SEAT 8 OF THE MERIDIAN SOLID WASTE ADVISORY COMMISSION; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS,Meridian City Code § 2-1-2 establishes the Meridian Arts Commission;
WHEREAS,Meridian City Code § 2-1-4 establishes the Meridian Solid Waste Advisory Commission;
WHEREAS, Meridian City Code § 2-1-1 establishes duties and authority, membership and terms of
appointment for all Meridian City Advisory Commissions;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Meridian recognizes and values the unique perspective and
input of the youth of the Meridian community as it pertains to arts within the City and, to that end, Meridian City
Code § 2-1-1(D)(3) states a youth member may be appointed to Advisory Commissions;
WHEREAS,the City Council of the City of Meridian deems the appointment of Seoyoon Song as a Youth
Member to the Meridian Arts Commission and Divya Danesh as a Youth Member to the Solid Waste Advisory
Commission to be in the best interest of the City of Meridian; and
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN,IDAHO:
Section 1. That,pursuant to Meridian City Code §2-1-1, Seoyoon Song be appointed to Seat 9 as a Youth
Member to the Meridian Arts Commission and Divya Danesh be appointed to Seat 8 as a Youth Member to the
Solid Waste Advisory Commission, for terms to expire September 30,2026.
Section 2.That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its adoption and approval.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Meridian, Idaho,this 14t'day of October, 2025.
