Subject:Latitude Forty Three Subdivision annexation

Dear Members of the Meridan City Council,
I am writing as a homeowner in the Woodbridge Community that is East of the proposed annexation of
the Latitude Forty Three Subdivision. My name is Robin McCulley, my husband Jared and my son Kaiden and I
have lived in this neighborhood for 10 years. I am writing to all of you to request that you consider a
continuation for this annexation until January at the earliest. Per the last council meeting regarding this
proposal, there were and still are too many unknowns. ACHD has not had an opportunity to study this area
and provide a worthy resolution to the ongoing traffic issues. The council mentioned "kicking the can" for the
past 5 years instead of addressing it, as well as knowledge that there is a congestion issue from Eagle road to
Linder. The developer has not had any contact with Planning and Zoning regarding potential changes in
dividing the project into a north and a south section, as well as a commitment from to the builder that he is
still committed following the potential changes. At this point, Woodbridge residents or the board have not
been in contact with the builder or property owner regarding any updates as to whether or not either is still
involved. What will we get if this builder backs out? Due to the future plans of the expansion of the college on
Locust Grove across from our community, this addition will create a substantial amount of vehicles using our
subdivision as a cut through. Currently there are no other options that cut through from Locust Grove to Eagle
Road until you get to Overland or Franklin. The last traffic study showed up to 2500 cars on the weekdays
passing through our neighborhood. The number of cars, coupled with the speeding, make for a true safety
issue to our residents already. Due to traffic impact, safety concerns and lack of information, I respectfully ask
for a continuation for annexation of the Latitude Forty Three Subdivision. Thank you all for your time and
consideration regarding this issue.
Respectfully,
Robin McCulley
