Attention Woodbridge Residents!
The Meridian City Council will convene on Tuesday, October 14 at 6:00 PM to vote on the
Latitude Forty Three development proposal. This project would bring:
79 new houses
1 commercial lot
11 other common lots
This development will directly impact our Woodbridge neighborhood, especially when it
comes to traffic, infrastructure, and safety.
At the May 6, 2025 Council Meeting (see page 16 of the minutes), the Council explicitly stated
they could not move forward on this application without first resolving the traffic issues
affecting Woodbridge:
"Council doesn’t have the right information before them to make a decision on this application
at this time – the traffic issue in this area needs to be RESOLVED before approving a
development for this property."
Yet, now we’re told the delay was only to determine if one portion of the property could support
a “cut-through” road from Bentley/Central (Locust View Heights) to Wells Avenue—not a full
traffic resolution.
This is NOT what the Council’s statement implied. No traffic mitigation plans have been
finalized or approved with ACHD (Ada County Highway District)
1. Traffic Concerns
The increase from 79 homes, a business lot, and nearby college developments (including
student housing and new classrooms) will bring hundreds of new vehicles through our
neighborhood daily.
2. No Final Traffic Plan
There is currently no formal traffic mitigation plan from ACHD addressing the
additional burden on Woodbridge roads.
3. Builder Uncertainty
There’s no guarantee the builder will remain the same—if it changes, will the home
types, quality, and pricing still match what was originally proposed?
4. Phased Development Concerns
The development is planned in two phases (north and south). What happens if only part
of it gets built—or if phase 2 changes dramatically?
5. Impact from Nearby College Expansion
Three new buildings on Locust View/Central and the recently built classroom building on
Locust View and Watertower will significantly increase traffic through Woodbridge.
6. Lack of Communication
There has been no outreach from the developer to the Woodbridge Board or residents
since the May meeting.
Even if you can’t attend the meeting on October 14, you can email your concerns directly to the
City Council:

Let them know: We are not against growth, but it must be responsible and aligned with the
needs and safety of our existing community.
We need to protect the Future of Woodbridge!
Together, we can ensure that any development respects our community's infrastructure, quality
of life, and long-term vision.
Please mark your calendars for attending the City Council meeting on 10-14-25. At City Hall –
6:00 pm. We need as many residents in attendance as possible.
