Good morning,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your thoughts about the proposed project. Your
email has been received by the Mayor’s Office. Because this project is part of an open
application, the Mayor and City Council members are prohibited from commenting outside
of the public hearing process. That said, we take public feedback seriously and want you to
know that we have received your email and have read your comments.
Your email has been forwarded to our City Clerk and will be included in the project public
record. As you may be aware, the City does not determine which food service or business
locates at a property, the City regulates the land use of various properties while businesses
decide to locate at given sites or areas based on market conditions. This project’s City
Council public hearing is currently scheduled for Tuesday, September 9th. Additionally, we
invite you to check the City’s website, meridiancity.org for any upcoming public hearing
notices and additional information regarding the development.
Thank you,
Josha Iverson| Executive Assistant

In and Out Burger
Our home in the Bainbridge subdivision is located between West Lost Rapids Drive and west
Everest Street and our backyard is on Tree Farm Street; a feeder road between Chinden and
West Lost Rapids drive. Across from our home to the east is Cadence 55+ community. This is
a quiet, family neighborhood with lots of Children . Across from Cadence on West Lost
1
Rapids Drive is the Keith Bird park. Since Costco was built on Ten Mile Road there has been
a large increase in traffic on West Lost Rapids. I have personally witnessed 3 serious
accidents in the intersection of Ten Mile and West Lost Rapids. Adding In and Out to the
corner of Ten Mile and West Lost Rapids will create even more problems at that location.
Since In and Out operates their restaurants late at night and the other drive through
restaurants in this area close early, there is a great possibility of an influx of young people
hanging out at the restaurant or in the park late on weekend nights. This would be extremely
disruptive to our neighborhood. There are more commercial areas in North Meridian that
would welcome In and Out. Meridian prides itself with being a family friendly city which is
why we have chosen to live here. I hope the City Council members remember that we
elected you to preserve our family oriented city.
