Subject:In and Out zoing commision appeal

Dear members of the Meridian city council.
I reside at 5780 N Bolsena Ave, Meridian with our main access being Lost Rapids. We purchased our
home in 2016 and watched as the subdivision and surrounding businesses grow over the years.
We are not opposed to growth or In and Out Burger. What we are opposed to is the location as it does not
and cannot address the very unsafe condition that will follow due to the volume of traffic it will
create. Currently the access would be from the two lane unmarked road that would run directly across
from the large apartment complex to the west. One only needs to visit the Costco store and try turning in
or out from Ten Mile or Lost Rapids now. The addition of In and Out traffic will be unmanageable. How
are you going to handle the cross lane turns in and out of the lot? Where are the people to go when the
lanes are full ? This location is full of realistic traffic problems it will create and not to mention the issue
that there is already another drive thru located immediately and abutting the In and Out lease.
Look at all of the other locations they have developed and you will see a stark difference. The planning
and Zoning commision denied In and Out and we pray that the members of this council will uphold that
decision and deny the request of In and Out in its current location. There is plenty of land to the
south along Ten Mile in developing commercial sites.
Thank you for your serious attention to this issue.
Respectfully,
Jeffery A. Wertz, Maude Elsie Wertz
