Your email has been received by the Mayor’s Office. Because this project is part of an open applica?on, the Mayor and City Council members are prohibited from commen?ng outside of the public hearing process. That said, we take public feedback seriously and want you to know that we have received your email and have read your comments. Your email has been forwarded to our City Clerk and will be included in the project public record. As you may be aware, the City does not determine which food service or business locates at a property, the City regulates the land use of various proper?es while businesses decide to locate at given sites or areas based on market condi?ons. This project’s City Council public hearing is currently scheduled for Sept 9. Addi?onally, we invite you to check the City’s website, meridiancity.org for any upcoming public hearing no?ces and addi?onal informa?on regarding the development. I have also copied the Planning Department if you have addi?onal ques?ons on hearings, or should that date change. Sincerely, Dave Miles | Chief of Staff City of Meridian | Mayor’s Office 33 E. Meridian City Leaders: Please vote NO! and do not allow In-N-Out to build at Lost Rapids and Ten-Mile Rd. This area is very congested already. I’ve nearly been in several accidents due to drivers not paying attention already. And there are many other places to place no impact on residential areas 1 like ours in Bainbridge and with better traffic flow. The Costco complex can barely handle current traffic with several fast-food establishments already there. Plus, the parking lot is very busy all week long and even more so on weekends. The ACHD Traffic Study from 2017 is so outdated it shouldn’t even be considered and couldn’t have counted on the increased traffic flow even in these past few years. Was either Ten-Mile or Chinden even a four lane at that time? Traffic is already backed up in many areas on Ten-Mile and it is getting dicey for my 80+ year old mother to even cross the streets even with traffic lights. In-N-Out’s traffic study was not even over the busy timeframes for this shopping area. They used a four-day period in December with little to no foot traffic and reduced auto traffic that is near constant the rest of the year. Again, please vote no. Thank you.
