Subject:Meadow Lake Village rezoning

I have been a resident of Meadow Lake Village for over 12 years and have seen many changes but the
rezoning request is not one of them.
First the residents were not told of Touchmarks plans, in spite of Mr. Bensons testimony at the planning
commission meeting. We were told at the time that it was just a routine filing of an old request that was
expiring and there was no need to be concerned. That is why no residents showed up at the meeting. Had we
been advised there would have been an uproar, as there is now.
When be moved here, we were sold on the open space and the golf coarse was one of them. I do not play golf
but see it being used all the time as well as for residents walking in the shade and away from the traffic.
We realize the Touchmark owns a lot of valuable property and will develop it but just ask that they maintain
and protect our wonderful community.
I am asking that the Council deny the request as stands or send it back to the Planning Commission so that
residents can speak out.
