The Public Works Department respectfully requests the following item be placed on the April
110 City Council agenda, under Consent Agenda, for Council's consideration:
Agreement for Professional Services with DC Enqineering for Enqineerinq Services for
Desiqn and Coordination of Installation of Weather Station #2 and SCADA inteqration.
Recommended Council Action: The Public Works Department recommends that City
Council approves the Agreement for Professional Services with DC Engineering for
Engineering Services for Design and Coordination of Installation of Weather Station
#2 and SCADA integration at a cost not to exceed $6940 and authorizes the Mayor to
sign it.

This Task Order is issued by Owner and accepted by the Engineer pursuant to
the mutual promises, covenants and conditions contained in the Agreement
between the above named parties dated January 1,2007.

Weather Station Data Logging and New Weather Station Installation Project
PURPOSE
The Engineer's scope of services, time of completion and compensation shall be as set
forth herein. Services shall generally be described as Engineering Consulting Services
per the Engineer's proposal dated 1/1/07.
TASK 1.1- PLAN REVIEW I CONSULTATION
Per the City's request, Engineer will perforro~l~liminary planning and develop drawings
required for the installation of a new weatht;~r6aation to be determined. Radio signal will
be tested before final installation is completed. Also the engineer will purchase and
install ODSC driver on the WWTP SQL Server to transfer data from the weather station
data base to the SQL data base.
The Engineer will also coordinate the installation of the equipment and provide as built
drawings on the competition of the project.
TIME OF COMPLETION
DC Engineering has a capable staff that can start immediately. It is anticipated to take
approximately 2 weeks to develop 90% review documents once authorization to proceed has
been given.
COMPENSATION
The Not-To-Exceed amount for this Task Order No.1 is six thousand five hundred forty
dollars ($6,940.00). This includes four thousand dollars ($4,500.00) for the weather
station, and software. DC Engineering will forward the electrical contractor's invoices
directly to the city for payment. Services will be billed per our standard rate of
compensation as follows:
· Principal Engineer, PE: $95 per hour
· Project Manager: $85 per hour
· Engineer: $80 per hour
· Designer: $70 per hour
· Drafting: $50 per hour
· Clerical: $35 per hour
